Alex Huang is a highly experienced security professional with almost 20 years of experience in the security field. He has worked with security manufacturers, service providers, vendors, internet service providers, and banks. Alex is passionate about cybersecurity and information security and has been fascinated with these fields since 2002. He is a lifelong learner and holds multiple degrees, including an M.S. in Network Administration and Cybersecurity, an M.Sc. in Software Technology (Machine Learning), an M.Eng. in Software Engineering (Malware Detection), and a PgD in Digital Forensics. Alex is a certified ISO27001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor and is familiar with regulations such as FFIEC, DFS 500, and NIST CSF. He is also competent in programming languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++, and Basic. Alex is skilled in building up security systems using Linux, Perl, Python, and SQL, and is capable of using IDA Pro and Wireshark to analyze malware and network traffic. He has also delved into machine learning using tools such as Scikit-Learn to achieve Linear Regression, Decision Tree, SVM, etc. Alex is familiar with multiple security systems such as Scanner, NIDS/NIPS, HIDS, Code Reviewer, Firewall/UTM/WAF, Honeypots, Endpoint Security, Sandbox, DLP, and SIEM. He specializes in the security of Windows, Linux, Unix, MacOS, and Cisco IOS, VM, Docker, and Cloud. Alex has overseen diverse projects, including Risk Management, Penetration Test, Phishing Test, Physical Inspection, Threat Intelligence, SDL, IT Risk, Threat Modeling, ISMS Audit, SOC 2 Type 2 Review, SOC/SIEM, Incident Response, and Training. Currently, Alex is working as VP, Deputy CISO at Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. He has previously worked as VP, IT Security & Threat Intelligence & IT Risk at Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. and Assistant Vice President, Information Security at China Construction Bank New York Branch. Alex is a CISSP, ISO/IEC LA, EC-Council, CompTIA, EXIN, and CIW certified in multiple IT areas. He is also pursuing his postgraduate studies in Cybersecurity at the University of London.
